Growing up!

SRE, Puberty & Growing Up

Bespoke workshops, delivered in consultation with schools. Parents and carers can be included in these sessions that aim to start a conversation around puberty.

Our informative sensitively delivered growing up workshops aim to start a conversation between children and their parents and carers about the emotional and physical changes during puberty.

The workshops are suitable for years 5 & 6 and can be delivered as separate girls and boys sessions or as a whole class depending on the needs of the children.

Parents and carers can attend the workshops, helping them to continue growing up conversations at home and in the future.

Teenagers in Nature

The most useful part of today’s workshop was bonding with my daughter over an important part of her life – I feel more confident talking about growing up with my daughter.

Teenagers

The children enjoyed the SRE workshop which was pitched and delivered well by competent practitioners. I believe the children’s understanding was moved forward during the session.

Year 5 Teacher

Our workshops concentrate on explaining physical changes, the role of hormones, exploring facts and myths around puberty as well as thinking about emotional changes and feelings.

We also discuss personal hygiene and in girls only sessions can include a more in-depth discussion of menstruation & sanitary products. They also highlight, that emotional changes occur as well as physical changes during puberty/growing up.

As these workshops are bespoke to each school, we will include any specific need identified or requested.
