Social Prescribing

Social Prescribing is a way of connecting people with activities, groups and services in your local community that might help you feel better. GP's tell us that many people who visit them can feel lonely, stressed by financial issues and employment or are struggling to lose weight or stay active. There is no pill to fix these issues so we can help connect you with the right help, in the right place, at the right time.

School Programmes

Here at Healthbox CIC our school's programmes have always been at the heart of what we do, our team love heading into schools and delivering fun and informative workshops around a variety of health and wellbeing related topics.

All of our workshops can be adapted and bespoke to meet the needs of the specific group. Our workshops are available to early years, primary schools and secondary schools. If you are interested in one of our workshops.

Community Development Cheshire East

Working alongside the Cheshire East Council Communities team our Community Development Officers support the Voluntary, Community and Faith sector in Crewe, Bollington, Disley, Poynton and Macclesfield. Led by the Council’s ‘Connected Communities’ strategy, we use an Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach to ensure that we work with and by the local community to help set up sustainable local initiatives. Each town has it’s very own Neighbourhood Partnership, a forum for charities, community groups, residents and other organisations to discuss health and wellbeing priorities and partnership working.

Falls Prevention

Falls not only induce injury in older people, but can have a huge negative impact on the person’s confidence and independence, increasing isolation and impacting on both physical and mental health.
