Are you finding it hard to deal with life stress? Do you feel that your current level of mental health is affecting your quality of life? Do you feel you would benefit from talking to someone? Healthbox CIC are now offering 1-2-1 counselling session for adults within the Ellesmere Port area.
What is counselling?
Counselling provides you with a supportive, non-judgemental and confidential environment in which you can explore any emotional and psychological problems that you may be experiencing.
A counsellor is not there to sit you down and tell you what to do – instead they will encourage you to talk about what’s bothering you in order to uncover any root causes and identify your specific ways of thinking. The counsellor may then look to create a plan of action to either help you reconcile your issues or help you to find ways of coping.
A counsellor will work with you to help you find your own ways of dealing with your problems. You know more about your experiences than anyone else.
What can we offer?
When accessing the counselling service, you will attend an initial assessment meeting, where the counsellor may ask some questions about how you have been feeling, what has brought you to counselling and whether you have accessed counselling before. This initial meeting is to give the counsellor an idea of what type of counselling you may need and to gain an understanding of what has brought you to counselling and any goals that you may have.
You will see your counsellor each week for 50 minutes, initially for six weeks and then after a review you and the counsellor can work together to discuss whether you wish to access more sessions. This counselling is open ended and therefore you will not be limited to a certain amount of sessions.
All of our counsellors are fully qualified MBACP (Members of the British Association of counselling and psychotherapy).
