The Welcome Network Winter Event Brrrrrrilliance!

The Welcome Network Winter Event Brrrrrrilliance!

The Welcome Network ran some very successful meeting places events on January 4th & 5th at Neston Community and Youth Centre and Stanney Grange Community Centre!

A wide range of fun-filled winter themed activities took place such as goodness ball creating and decorating, messy play involving shaving foam and food colouring, crafts, face painting, hula hoops, twirlers, soft play and group games! A free lunch was served to all attendees, a hearty plate of warming beans on toast which was thoroughly enjoyed!

‘Love food, Hate Waste’ project come and ran an educational activity around food waste. This included games around composting, planting/decorating the children’s own lettuce pots and other informational materials around growing your own food and food waste for them to take home. The families really enjoyed it! Sonia, a member of the community, was nice enough to plan and execute all of the crafts making little pine cone owls, painted plates, colouring sheets!

We would like to say a big thank you to Morrisons, Ellesmere Port for the voucher donation, which covered most of the food for the event.
