2018 at Healthbox CIC!

We’ve had a jam-packed year here at Healthbox CIC, with lots of successful projects, events and partnerships! Take a look below to see what we’ve been up to!

1 – Yoga & Mindfulness

This year over 1500 children in the Cheshire West & Chester area have benefited from taking part in one of our Yoga & Mindfulness sessions, at their school and community events and activities! Keep your eyes peeled for more children’s yoga sessions in 2019! A big thank you to our instructors RB Yoga, Little Yoga Warriors & Inner Calm Yoga with Holly for delivering the sessions.

The Wellbeing High Street have also been running 12 week children’s yoga courses at Westminster Community Centre and Wolverham Community Centre which have been very well attended and thoroughly enjoyed by the children. During these sessions Nicola, the projects Volunteer Coordinator set up a ‘family volunteering’ project for the parents who brought their children along and organised a celebration event at the end of the 12 weeks to allow the children to showcase what they had learned over the 12 weeks.

2 –  Mental Health Services

We launched our Mental Health Services this year, the services include Mental Health First Aid Training Courses and 1-2-1 counselling for adults and children. We have also been given funding from The Liberty Group to allow us to extend our existing adult counselling service in Ellesmere Port to offer it to more than children in the area!

3 – Elemental Software

Developed a partnership with their social prescribing software to allow GP’s and organisations to refer patients to our services to improve their health and wellbeing.
